Author and former Virgin Entertainment CEO Jason Felts Casts Berger to Co-Produce and Moderate the Hollywood Virgin Book Tour!
February 5th, 2025
Jason Felts’ autobiography, Hollywood Virgin, Breaking into and out of Show Business (Wiley), captures the story of Sir Richard Branson’s mentee who would launch Virgin Produced, among other properties, to great success. Having met Berger in 2023 on stage at the WealthFlix business conference, Felts tabbed Berger to co-create a live event for his book’s release.
“I had the pleasure of moderating a live discussion, in front of a studio audience, with Jason, and from there, a friendship was born,” says Berger.
Felts knew that his autobiography read like a mashup of entrepreneurial mishaps, small-town dreams, and incredible once-in-a-lifetime experiences like vacationing with the Obamas after his Presidency, and Felts wanted to ensure readers feel a part of the experience through Berger’s approach to interviewing.
“Rod makes you feel like you’re a family friend - getting the nuggets of a story often missed by rote storytellers. He was my first and last call for this tour,” shares Felts.
Felts and Berger will follow up the launch party by beginning the tour at the University of Central Florida campus in Orlando, where they will be greeted by a reported 600 students and faculty members.
JoyBurst, Delta Airlines, Audible, The Abbey, and Virgin Voyages sponsor the international book tour. The pair has received tour interest across Europe and India and several colleges and universities across the U.S.
About Jason Felts
Founder, serial entrepreneur, Fortune 500 brand advisor, philanthropist, and author Jason Felts is a long way from small-town Texas, where, as a kid, he dreamed of a successful life behind the scenes in Hollywood. Since then, Felts has built, repositioned, and launched several consumer brands and media companies.
A co-founder of production company J2TV, he developed and produced film and television shows, including Filthy Rich, the show that first introduced the Kardashian family to audiences.
In 2009, Jason co-founded and was named CEO of Virgin’s entertainment company, becoming the second youngest CEO in the history of Virgin behind Sir Richard Branson himself. He also served as CEO of Virgin Fest, and was appointed to Virgin’s Global Brand Council, where he was a consultant to Virgin branded companies in the aviation, hotel, space, and telecom sectors.
As a producer, his films have cumulatively grossed over one billion dollars worldwide. Named by Variety in the “Top 10 to Watch,” honored by New York State as one of the “Responsible 100,” and profiled in Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek, Billboard, and Rolling Stone, Felts currently sits on boards for several Fortune 500 brands. He speaks on entrepreneurship and inclusivity, and received an honorary doctorate from Ripon College in recognition of a life “Breaking Barriers.”
Felts traded in LA freeways for a Caribbean island he mostly calls home, spending his days consulting, writing, and using his voice for social good.
