Dallas, Texas - February 11th, 2025
Dr. Rod Berger has been signed to give a moderated keynote address with the ‘grandmother of Juneteenth’ Opal Lee in Dallas at the association’s national conference on February 21st.
The American Camp Association (ACA) anticipates over 1,800 attendees for the closing keynote address. The conference’s 2025 focus centers on character development, bringing into focus the life and accomplishments of Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Opal Lee.
“Opal Lee is a cherished voice symbolizing courage and character in the face of generational obstacles - it is quite a coop that ACA was able to secure an American inspiration, like Lee, for the closing keynote. I am honored to play a part in telling Opal’s moving story,” says Berger.
